Clara Alcobia Coelho completed her higher studies at the Lisbon Superior School of Music. She completed her Masters in Choral Direction in 2010, under the supervision of Paulo Lourenço. She has worked regularly as a conductor in the preparation of programs for the Gulbenkian Choir, such as L'Autre Hiver (ENOA contemporary music project, by composer Dominique Pauwells), La danse des morts by Honegger, at the Gulbenkian Foundation, and Magnus Lindberg's Triumph to Exist. At the Les Musicalles de Grillon Festival, she was conductor of the Choir from 2006 to 2016. Since 2010 she has directed the Ensemble Lusiovoce, with which she has performed at the Cistermúsica, Santarém Organ Festival, Estoril-Lisbon Festival, Madeira Organ Festival and Festival of Organ of Mafra. She has been a member of Coro Gulbenkian since 1997 and has also collaborated with other ensembles (Oficium Grupo Vocal, Voces Caelestes, Ensemble MPMP and Studio Contrapuncti). She has been teaching since 2001 at the Lisbon Superior School of Music and at the National Academy of Orchestra.
