Nuno
Aroso

Nuno Aroso (1978-) is a Portuguese percussionist. He has premiered more than 120 works and recorded part of this repertoire for prestigious labels like Naxos, Wergo, and others. He graduated from ESMAE, Oporto, Portugal, with the highest mark in the final recital and pursued his studies in Strasbourg and Paris. Nuno holds a PhD from the Portuguese Catholic University. He is head of percussion at Minho University in Portugal and visiting professor at the recently created Escuela Superior de Musica de Extremadura, Spain. Aroso is regularly invited to perform masterclasses and seminars at other prestigious universities, conservatories and percussion festivals all over the world.
