Francisco
Sá de Noronha
Francisco de Sá Noronha (1820-1881) was a Portuguese violinist and composer who lived between Portugal and Brazil. Among his works, the operas Beatrice di Portogallo (1863) and Tagir (1876) stand out. Reference should also be made to Arco de Sant'Anna (1867), with a libretto based on the homonymous novel by Almeida Garrett. His remains are buried in the Caju Cemetery, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
