Marques

Philippe Marques is a Portuguese pianist born in Switzerland in 1991. He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician. He made his orchestral debut in 2011 in Lisbon, playing Franz Liszt’s first piano concerto. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music. Having studied with Catherine C. Paiva, Hélder Entrudo and Miguel Henriques, he also attended masterclasses by Luiz de Moura Castro, Sequeira Costa, Artur Pizarro and Dmitri Alexeev. He premiered works by Edward Luiz Ayres d’Abreu, Nuno da Rocha, Daniel Moreira, Francisco Tavares and Eli Camargo Júnior. He teaches at the Metropolitana Music Conservatory.
