Singer, performer, and researcher on Voice, Singing and Music Theater, Serrão is member of CESEM, Lisbon, since 1996. Graduated by National Conservatory, Doctor in Sciences, Technologies and Aesthetics of Arts-Music, by Paris 8 University (1997), with a thesis on Constança Capdeville, with a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship. Studies on contemporary music in Belgium with J.P. Peuvion and Georges-Elie Octors, in Poland with the composers Kotónski, Rudginski and Zigmunt Krauze. Member of the Lisbon Contemporary Music Group (1978-1982), directed by Jorge Peixinho. She premiered pieces from composers as Lopes e Silva, Clotilde Rosa, Paulo Brandão, Cândido Lima, Horatiu Radulescu, Georges Aperghis, Tom Johnson, Vinko Globokar or Michael Finnissy.
