Bon de Sousa

Born in Lisbon, where he studied with Artur Santos. In 1981, he left for Vienna in Austria and worked there as a fellow, over four years, with Leonid Brumberg. Of the training courses you have attended, we highlight the driven Helena Sá e Costa and Tatyana Nicolaieva in Salzburg and Jorg Demus, Palanicek and Sequeira Costa and in Lisbon. Throughout his career as a pianist, Bon de Sousa performed in solo recitals, concertos with orchestra and chamber music. In 1997 he recorded a CD of piano works of Francisco Lacerda, Treinte-six histoires pour amuser les enfantes d'un artiste. With João Pereira Coutinho, he recorded the CD Encontro with works for flute and piano of the 20th-Century. He is currently a professor in the School of Music at the National Conservatory, in Lisbon.
