João Pedro
Delgado

Viola player João Pedro Delgado (1978-) was born in Oporto, Portugal. He studied at Viseu and Lisbon Conservatories, at the Lisbon Superior School of Music and at Castelo Branco Superior School of Arts. He attended several masterclasses with Alex Klein, Daniel Rowland, Maria João Pires, Michael Bochmann, Artur Pizarro and Gareguin Aroutounian, among others. He finished his Masters in Performance with distinction. He collaborated as invited viola players with orchestras such as the Gulbenkian Orchestra and Metropolitana. He is a member of João Roiz Ensemble and of Síntese Contemporary Music Group.
