Filipa Meneses studied Piano with Madalena Soveral at ESMAE, Porto, and Ancient Music and Viola da Gamba in the Royal Conservatory from The Hague, Netherlands, working under the guidance of Philippe Pierlot and Mieneke van der Velden. She is currently attending the Masters in Viola da Gamba at Schola Cantorum Basilensis, Switzerland, under the guidance of Paolo Pandolfo, Rebecca Rusó and Randall Cook. She has participated in the most important European ancient music courses. She regularly collaborates with several groups in Portugal, Spain, France, Holland and Italy. She is the founder of the Heptachordum Ensemble, with whom she obtained the first prize in the 2012 edition of the Young Musicians Award, category of Baroque Music. Co-founder of Ensemble La Favilla (Netherlands).
