Barros
Ana Barros obtained her diploma degree in the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts of Porto (ESMAE) where she attended the classes from Rui Taveira and Fernanda Correia. From 2003 to 2006, she was a member of the Estúdio de Ópera at the Casa da Música, in Porto, where she worked with Peter Harrison, Lorna Marshall and Jeff Cohen. In the same period, in order to improve her technique and interpretation, she worked with some of the greatest masters of our time: Jill Feldman, Philip Langridge, Gundula Janovic, Laura Sarti, Hilde Zadek, Patricia McMahon or Elisabete Matos. Ana Barros has a particular interest in contemporary Portuguese music. With the French woodwind quintet Le Concert Impromptu she performed in the acclaimed festivals of Normandy (France) and Brecht Festival (Germany).
