Olga
Amaro
Olga Amaro studied at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa,with Nina Schumann. Throughout her musical career, she was a student of Eugénia Moura and Constantin Sandu, in Portugal. Winner of the 1st Prize of the Florinda Santos National Competition (1996) and the 1st Prize in the Chamber Music Category of the ATKV-Muziq Competition (2005), Olga Amaro was also offered a scholarship by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2011 she was awarded the Best Pianist Prize at the 5th Lyric Contest of the Fundação Rotária Portuguesa. She has been performing in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Romania, South Africa, Mozambique and Colombia. She is a piano accompanist at the Porto Music Conservatory and at ESMAE, Portugal.
