Born in Lisbon, Portugal, he obtained in 2001, under the guidance of Piñero Nagy, a Guitar Degree from the Lisbon Superior School of Music, where he also joined Olga Prats' chamber music class. From 2002 to 2004, as a fellow at the Centro Nacional de Cultura, he took the Postgraduate Course in Musical Interpretation at Escuela Luthier de Artes Musicales, in Barcelona, Spain, ​​where he studied with Ricardo Gallén. He was awarded the 1st Prize at the 1st International Competition of Sernancelhe (1999), Portugal, and the 1st Prize (ex aequo) and the "Carla Minen" Prize at the XXIX Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra “Fernando Sor”, Rome, Italy (2000). In 2005 he was awarded the 2nd Prize at the I Encuentro de Guitarra “Norba Caesarina” in Cáceres, Spain. As a soloist he performed with Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras, Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras and Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa. He is regularly invited to perform with Remix Ensemble, having worked closely with composers James Dillon, Jonathan Harvey and Helmut Lachenmann. He teaches at the National Conservatory, Lisbon.
