Durand

Júlia Durand (born in 1994, Braga) is a member of the Study Group on Gender and Music (NEGEM), the Group of Advanced Studies in Sociology of Music (SociMus), and the Group for Advanced Studies in Music and Cyberculture (CysMus), of the Center of Sociology and Musical Aesthetics (CESEM, NOVA, Lisbon). She got a B.A. in Musicology in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA, and she is currently enrolled in a masters in Musicology. She attended the Conservatory of Music Calouste Gulbenkian of Braga, where she studied piano and composition. Her interests are mainly focused in the use of music in audiovisual content, and she is currently researching the production of library music and the sites in which it is available. Since 2015, she has been writing scripts for musicals, chamber operas and electronic music.
