Jônatas
Manzolli
Mathematician and composer, Manzolli teaches at the University of Campinas, Brazil. His perspective is based on a dialogue between Arts and Sciences devoting himself to the interlacement of musical creation, computer technology, psychoacoustics and cognitive sciences. He works with interactive mediated music studying the development of evolutionary process for composition and sound design. He is guest Professor of the Audiovisual Institute of the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, where he collaborates with SPECS on several projects. Recent artistic production includes Trópicos (2007) for Symphony Orchestra and Percussion, performed by the Campinas Symphony Orchestra; the electronic theatre concert continuaMENTE (2007) commissioned by the Itaú Cultural, São Paulo. He created with Artemis Moroni the AURAL, a audiovisual installation, combining interactive sonification, evolutionary computation and robotics.
