Aguirre
He was born in Vitoria-Gasteiz where he began his musical studies that he will continue at the Ecole National de Musique de Bayona (France), where he obtains the gold medal in the Medium Degree of Violoncello. In 1991 he moved to the Netherlands to further his studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. There he collaborated as principal cello in various formations and orchestras. At the same time, he carries out higher studies of Viola da Gamba at the Constatijn Huygens Conservatorium, Hoogschool voor de Kunsten de Zwolle (Holland). He is a founding member of various early music groups such as La Paix du Parnasse, Tribulatio, Nuovo Sonare, Trifolium ensemble, Je-ne-scay-quoy. He has performed concerts both solo and with various groups in Spain, Portugal, Holland, France, Germany, Belgium, Colombia, Chile and Morocco. He has given Seminars and Masterclasses in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands. At present he is a teacher of Viola da Gamba at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Salamanca.
