Gonçalves da Rosa
Gonçalves da Rosa (1957-) was born in the city of Angra, Azores. He is mestre de capela of the Cathedral of Angra. He began his musical studies with Professor Maria Letícia Mourato, studied at the University of the Azores (PhD) and completed the Theology course at the Episcopal Seminary of Angra. He graduated in Portuguese Studies from the Universidade Aberta and, in Choir Direction, from the Catalonia College of Music, Barcelona. He worked at the Public Library and Regional Archive of Angra. He was part of the Quintet and Chamber Trio of the Musical Association of Terceira Island (AMIT) and was the artistic director of the Coro Tomás de Borba.
