Guilherme

Carlos Guilherme (1945-) spent his childhood and youth in Mozambique. He received singing lessons from Greta Muir in Rhodesia, making his debut with the Salisbury Opera Company. In 1975 he won the International Eisteddfod Competition, coming to Portugal in 1976. In 1980 he became artist-in-residence at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Lisbon, making his debut in the opera Macbeth. It is worth mentioning its collaboration with the Symphony Emeritus of San Francisco, the Chamber Orchestra of Padua, the Symphony Orchestras of Budapest, Israel and Shanghai, the Philharmonic Society of Moscow and the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna.
